Abstract
Violence against a child is one of the most dominant cases and is found anytime, anywhere, almost everywhere in all provinces in Indonesia. This becomes very ironic, considering that children who are in fact the next generation of the nation, should get parental love, guidance and education that is full of love. Methodology This study uses descriptive qualitative methods with data collection techniques through observation, in-depth interviews and documentation studies while the research analysis is used through the analysis of Miles and Huberman. The results of this study indicate that the most frequent impact of parental violence on children in society is psychological violence. Psychological violence is violence perpetrated by an offender against a victim's mentality by yelling, swearing, threatening, demeaning, commanding, harassing, stalking, and spying, or other acts that cause fear (including those directed at close people victims, such as family, children, husband, friends, or parents). Acts of psychological violence experienced by students have not yet ended. In reality we still see a lot of shouting, ridicule and even punishment given by educators against students who commit violations of discipline. Another impact of cases of violence against children is the inhibition of psychological development of children both cognitive, affective and psychomotor.
