Abstract
Tumor suppressor pRb2/p130 gene belongs to the retinoblastoma (Rb) gene family, which also includes pRb/p105 and pRb/p107. The members of the Rb gene family have attracted a great deal of interest because of their essential role in regulating cell cycle and, consequently, cell proliferation. This mini review discusses the potential therapeutic applications both of pRb2/p130 and its derived product Spa310 spacer domain in cancer treatment. © 2007 Wiley-Liss, Inc.
