Abstract
The General Section of the Aceh Barat Setdakab is the section that manages administrative affairs including handling correspondence activities. Correspondence management activities in the General Section of the Aceh Barat Setdakab have followed the times, namely using electronic devices such as computers in terms of archiving incoming and outgoing mail using a web application system known as E-Archive. The implementation of the E-archive system is considered to be quite good and efficient in providing services, which can be felt based on the speed and security of employee performance. However, there are still obstacles in the application system in daily mail archiving activities. The method in this study uses a qualitative evaluation, namely analyzing, photographing, and describing the working conditions of employees in the field of archiving incoming and outgoing letters in the general scope of the Aceh Barat Setdakap, according to the results of interviews, data collection, and field observations. This archive must continue to be applied in providing services, even if it needs to be further developed and design an E-archive application system in terms of archiving incoming and outgoing letters that are more recent so as to minimize existing obstacles so that the process of filing mail archiving activities is more effective and efficient from the previous
