Abstract

This study aims to determine the forms of aggressive behavior that occur in children with authoritarian parenting applied by parents. This study uses five families consisting of fathers and mothers and children aged 5-6 years with the form of authoritarian parenting as research subjects. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research by collecting data through observation, and interviews. Furthermore, after the data is collected, data analysis is done by displaying data, reducing data, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that there were two aggressive behaviors that appeared in children, verbal aggression and physical aggression, and parents who adopted authoritarian parenting with the aim of forming children into successful children. In other words, authoritarian parenting can form aggressive behavior in children.
