Abstract

Three new species in the lichen genus Pertusaria are described from Papua New Guinea. The new species are: Pertusaria bundiensis, P. praecipua and P. ramuensis. Pertusaria dehiscens Müll. Arg. and P. orarensis A.W. Archer & Elix are reported for the first time from the same region. The 3,4-benzocoumarins, alternariol and its methyl ether are reported for the first time from a lichen source.
