Sistem Pendukung Keputusan Penerimaan Beasiswa Menggunakan Metode Simple Additive Weighting (SAW)

Abstract

Setiap tahunnya, Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama Sidoarjo memberikan sejumlah beasiswa kepada mahasiswa program Sarjana 1 (S1) yang dikelolanya. Proses seleksi dan hasil penerimaan beasiswa dari peserta yang telah melewati tahapan penyaringan sesuai dengan persyaratan beasiswa merupakan aspek yang memiliki signifikansi besar. Oleh karena itu, dibuatlah Sistem Pendukung Keputusan yang dapat memberikan rujukan peminat beasiswa yang pantas menerima beasiswa sesuai dengan kualifikasi. Model yang digunakan dalam sistem pendukung keputusan ini adalah Simple Additive Weighting (SAW). Metode ini sering dikenal dengan istilah metode penjumlahan terbobot. Konsep dasar metode ini adalah mencari penjumlahan terbobot dari peringkat kinerja pada setiap alternatif pada semua atribut. Metode ini dipilih karena mampu, menyeleksi alternatif terbaik dari jumlah alternatif, dalam hal ini alternatif yang dimaksudkan yaitu yang berhak menerima beasiswa berdasarkan kriteria-kriteria. Pada penentuan penerimaan beasiswa, individu harus memenuhi beberapa kriteria sebagai syarat untuk menerima beasiswa. Setiap civitas akademika harus memiliki kriteria untuk menentukan siapa yang akan dipilih atau yang tidak terpilih untuk mendapatkan beasiswa. Pembagian beasiswa dilakukan oleh beberapa lembaga untuk membantu seseorang yang kurang mampu ataupun berprestasi selama menempuh studinya. Adanya sistem pendukung keputusan dapat membantu penentuan dalam menetapkan seseorang yang layak menerima beasiswa. The selection process and results of receiving scholarships from participants who have passed the screening stages by the scholarship requirements are aspects that have great significance. Therefore, a Decision Support System was created that can provide referrals for scholarship applicants who are worthy of receiving a scholarship according to their qualifications. The model used in this decision support system is Simple Additive Weighting (SAW). This method is often known as the weighted addition method. The basic concept of this method is to find the weighted sum of the performance ratings for each alternative on all attributes. This method was chosen because it can select the best alternative from several alternatives, in this case, the alternative in question is those who are entitled to receive a scholarship based on the criteria. When determining scholarship acceptance, individuals must meet several criteria as a condition for receiving a scholarship. Every academic community must-have criterion to determine who will be selected or not selected to receive a scholarship. Scholarships are distributed by several institutions to help someone who is less fortunate or has high achievements during their studies. The existence of a decision support system can help determine who is worthy of receiving a scholarship.
