Isolation and chromatography of 15-deoxyrepin and 25 other sesquiterpene lactones from centaurea bella trautv

Abstract

24 guaianolides and 1 germacranolidc have been found so far in Centaurea hella Trautv. 15-deoxyrcpin is another guaianolide, obtained in a similar way as previous compounds - by column chromatography, and identified by means of spectral analysis ( H NMR. MS, IR). Proposed are chromatographic systems allowing the separation of two types of guaianolides: With an ester at C-2 - characteristic for C. bella and at C-8 -Typical for other species of the genus Centaurea L.
