Abstract
An Actinomycete strain A499 belonging to the genera Amycolatopsis or Amycolata isolated from a Western Australian soil sample produced the cyclic decapeptide antibiotic quinaldopeptin, together with the actinotetraose hexatiglate, the hexa-ester of a novel non-reducing glucotetraose.
