Abstract

The industrial park is a complex of real estate objects managed by a specialized company, consisting of a land plot (plots) with production, administrative, warehouse and other premises and facilities, provided with energy resources, engineering and transport infrastructure, administrative and legal conditions for placing production facilities. Designing water distribution systems for such production sites is an urgent task. Currently, the reasonable technical solutions development for water supply is carried out by using computer hydraulic models. Various programs are used to model water distribution systems, such as: EPANET, WaterCAD/WaterGEMS, HAMMER etc. The purpose of the work was to develop a combined drinking and fire protection water distribution system for the industrial park. Modeling was carried out in WaterGEMS. Pipelines diameters were determined and optimized via Darwin designer. Modeling of the water distribution system was performed for four cases: 1) normal operation conditions; 2) emergency operating conditions in case of fire in the consumer's facility located in the most remote point; 3) emergency operating conditions in case of fire in the production facility with the highest water consumption; 4) emergency operating conditions in case of a failure on the water distribution network and simultaneous fire in the production facility with the highest water consumption. Uninterrupted water supply to consumers and for fire fighting needs is provided in all four cases with required head and flow. The total length of the water distribution network is 7 820 m, including polyethylene PE pipes with inner diameter of 100 mm - 6 000 m, PE pipes with inner diameter of 125 mm - 700 m, PE pipes with inner diameter of 150 mm - 90 m, PE pipes with inner diameter of 200 mm - 1 030 m. The cost of constructing pipelines made up to about 60 million P in 2019 prices.
