Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the problematic reality of illegal mining and smuggling in the Madre de Dios region; as well as its related crimes and its effects on Development, Security and National Defense 2022. A prospective methodology was used in the different variables: political, social, economic, security and defense. Thus, it can be seen that illegal mining in the Madre de Dios region, due to the large movement of money, has resulted in crimes such as hitmen, organized gangs, extortion, human trafficking, among others. Therefore, the deficient statistics and the lack of giving due importance to demographic information, by regional and local authorities, means that the necessary financial resources that are needed to meet the needs of the population are not managed, due to the existence of a floating population product of mining. From the political level, guide the vision on the region that presents the greatest reduction in sustainable development and national security, providing immediate attention with the creation of a national authority in the region or a multisectoral command in situ that develops direct strategies on the focus of threats to development and national security. The creation of a Special Command at an operational and tactical level for the interdiction strategy and territorial control, taking into account the remoteness of their provinces and localities, the difficult terrain and the adverse weather conditions that go hand in hand with the regional authorities, prosecutors and judicial authorities act permanently and firmly to achieve the stabilization and productivity of the region.
