Abstract

Colitis-associated colorectal cancer (CACRC) constitutes a severe complication of inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) and occurs in more than one third of IBD patients. In this short review we focus on the mechanisms underlying CACRC pathogenesis, and discuss the approaches for prevention and therapy in CACRC. © 2014 Versita Warsaw and Springer-Verlag Wien.
