Variation in soil pH under tussock grassland species

Abstract

Three tussock grassland sites were sampled along a climatic-soil gradient in the Mackenzie Basin, South Canterbury. There was a range within sites of 0.5 pH units in the 1-5 cm soil layer beneath different species.
