Abstract
This research is based on the absence of Pop Up Book media for mathematics subjects at the Elementary School level. As a result, students listen more often to the teacher's direct explanation than to use concrete learning media. Pop Up Book Media is a book that has parts that can move or have three-dimensional elements and provides an interesting visualization of stories, from the appearance of images that can move when the page is opened. Therefore, researchers conducted research on the Design of Pop Up Media Book Concept of Operations Calculating the Sum of Counts. The Pop Up Book developed contains knowledge about the material concept of calculating the sum of chopped numbers, tools and materials, and how to make a Pop Up Book according to the indicator of the manufacturing technique. This study aims to produce a design for making Pop Up Book media, test the feasibility and produce a representative media Pop Up Book final product in mathematics subjects, this study uses the Design Based Research Reeves model by identifying and analyzing problems by conducting documentation studies, developing prototype by designing media Pop Up Book based on relevant theories and the results of the analysis, doing an iterative process to test and improve with validity and trial testing, and reflection to produce a design principle with a review of the data that has been collected. This study resulted in the final product in the form of Pop Up Book learning media with the title "The Concept of Operations Counting Sums Counted Counts" for grade I elementary school students and received a good response from teachers and students.
