Abstract

One of the determining factors in the development of modern teaching is social intelligence of the teacher, his personal qualities and characteristics. The formation of student's philosophical principles during university training indicates the training quality and it is an important condition of future teacher's successful professional activity. In this regard, the authors investigated the gender peculiarities of the dynamics of personal potential indicators. Students of the Kuibyshev branch of Novosibirsk State Pedagogical University aged 1721 years (50 female and 24 male students) participated in this research. An empirical study of students' personal qualities that determine their personal potential was made using the following psychological tests: "Self-determination of personality", "Selforganization activity", "Vitality", "Life Satisfaction", "Differential diagnostics of reflexivity", "Quality of life and satisfaction", "Anchor career". As a result, in both groups the average level of performance on various scales ranges from low to medium relative to normative values, established for "University"cities. Besides, the lack of indicators dynamics on "Resilience"scale is noted in both groups. Gender differences in the dynamics of the indices are determined on "Life satisfaction", "Entrepreneurship", "Authenticity" "Soul-searching"scales. Female students showed negative dynamics of these indicators. On "Index of purpose", "Index of rationality", "Total figure of self-organization activities", "Freedom", "Expression"and "Activity"scales male students had positive dynamics of the indicators, although on "Reflexivity Index"and "Quasireverse"scales their dynamics was negative. On "Physical health", "Experience", "Index of life satisfaction and quality of life" scales female students showed negative dynamics of the indicators, while male students showed positive dynamics of the indicators. The results of the research demonstrate that there are significant gender differences in dynamics of personal potential indicators. So we may assume that the specific of changes in students' psychosocial well-being during the period of university studies depends not only on the educational environment of a small university, but also on social, economic and cultural development of the region as a whole.
