Abstract

Recent breakthroughs in the field of terahertz science and technology have inspired novel explorations and innovations through variety of phenomena in spectroscopy, photonics, biomedical imaging, nonlinearity, communication technologies and many more. The editorial review on this special issue (see article number 1901984) provides the flavor on some of the exciting prospects in terahertz optical science and technology arising from the amalgamation of various properties of multidimensional materials with the technologically significant terahertz waves.
