Abstract

In the Health section of the New York Times (Rabin, 2012), the case of a patient with a slowing heart rate and falling blood pressure was described. Blood tests showed she had an amount of medication in her system five times the safe level, but it was not due to a drug overdose; she had overdosed on grapefruit juice.
