Abstract

For the purpose of application to the citizen-participated monitoring program on rainwater management, we developed a tool for diagnosing the degree of contribution to runoff control from the location, scale, layout, and structure of gardens on detached house premises. This tool was applied to detached houses along an actual rainwater drainage system in Setagaya ward, and the pattern and location of the obtained data were analyzed. As a result, the contributions to runoff control can be patterned according to the place and composition of gardens, and it was considered that the tool can be utilized to select important areas.
