Abstract

Netflix, HBO or Filmin are some of the main streaming services operating in Spain. Technological advances and consumer behavior have redefined the audiovisual market. Therefore, this paper will inquire into the possible variations in televisual consumption over the last decade. The purpose is to understand the confluence between linear TV and the arise of OTT platforms. Results will be contemplated through two different periods: from 2006 to 2014 and from 2015 to 2019. It will be analyzed, in parallel, the emergence of online services and the effects on televisual market.
