Abstract

This study is entitled"Violation of the principle of decency in Sinear Sruput kicking Marlo and Marco on Youtube channel". This study is a descriptive qualitative research. The results of this study showed that there are 25 data included in the violation of the maxims of language politeness used by speakers and speech partners in this podcast. Violation of the maxim of politeness the most data obtained is a violation of the maxim of praise, as many as 9 data, then a violation of the maxim of sympathy as many as 5 data, a violation of the maximum agreement as many as 4 dara, a maximum of generosity and a maximum of simplicity, each of which there are 3 data and the last maxim of wisdom as much as 1 data. Factors causing violations of politeness maxims in this podcast resulted in findings in the form of several factors, they are the age factor between speakers and speech partners, the factor of the relationship that has been established between speakers and speech partners, and the last factor is education.
