Abstract

Veterinary technology is poised to follow allied health and nursing as a maturing field of research and independent practice. Options for students of veterinary technology are increasing, and new degree programs are being created. Online study courses such as those offered by St. Petersburg College in St. Petersburg, Florida, use the flexibility and resources of the Internet to give new and existing technicians across the United States more opportunities to expand their education and advance their career.
