This paper investigates the possibilities of AI in academic libraries, emphasizing advantages like increased effectiveness, better accessibility, and customized user experiences. Even if AI has drawbacks like algorithmic bias, data privacy, and ethical concerns, it also has advantages like growth and innovation potential. In order to effectively incorporate AI into library services in India, the study highlights the need for librarians to educate themselves, experiment with AI technologies, and keep updated about developing trends.
