Abstract

Abstrak Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor penyebab menjadi anak jalanan di Kota Gorontalo dan untuk mengetahui faktor apa yang paling dominan penyebab menjadi anak jalanan di Kota Gorontalo. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian kuantitatif. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan adalah jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan prosedur pengumpulan data dengan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data terdiri dari reduksi data, penyajian dan verifikasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat dua hal penting yang mendorong anak menjadi anak jalanan yaitu: keinginan anak untuk membantu orang tua; dan kemiskinan atau kondisi ekonomi keluarga di bawah. Faktor yang paling dominan mendorong anak untuk menjadi anak jalanan adalah faktor kemiskinan.  Kata Kunci :Deskripsi, Faktor Penyebab, Anak Jalanan  Abstract The purpose of this study is to determine the factors that cause street children in Gorontalo City and to find out what factors are the most dominant causes of street children in Gorontalo City. The research method used is quantitative research methods. This type of research is a qualitative research with data collection procedures by observation, interviews and documentation. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that there are two important things that encourage children to become street children, namely: the desire of children to help their parents; and poverty or the economic condition of the family below.
