Abstract

In February 2017, the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists and the American College of Endocrinology published updated “Guidelines for Management of Dyslipidemia and Prevention of Cardiovascular Disease.” The update encompassed recent important clinical trial outcomes and additional research related to the treatment of dyslipidemia. This article summarizes key recommendations from this important guideline.
