This paper examines the various factors of job satisf action and job dissatisfaction among IT sector employees using Herzber g’s theory of motivation as underlying factors of motivation. The results indicated that the factors causing job satisfa ction and job dissatisfaction differ in nature as explained by Herzber g. However, some factors like advancement, company policies and interp ersonal relations showed mixed results towards their contribution to e ither job satisfaction or dissatisfaction.
