Abstract

Vehicle collisions have always been the main form of traffic accidents. How to use technical means to reduce the collision frequency has always been an important topic in the field of automobile safety. In this paper, an intersection collision warning algorithm based on vehicle behavior and C-V2X communication is proposed for the first time. The algorithm predicts the trajectory of the vehicle based on its behavior. The algorithm tells the vehicle about the intersection based on the vehicle's turn signal information. The trajectory is predicted according to the different behaviors of the vehicle passing through the intersection, and the expected collision point of the vehicle is obtained through the intersection of the predicted trajectory of the vehicle, and then the detected collision information is requested to the driver for video and voice. The collision points of two vehicles are calculated and compared between the early warning algorithm based on the predicted trajectory and the early warning algorithm based on V2X. The error of the latter is kept within 0.5, and the error is within a reasonable range, while the error of the former exceeds 3.5 in the case of intersection, which confirms the effectiveness of the algorithm designed in this paper.
