Abstract
Breaches of the ethics, confidence and trust that are embedded in the information society give rise to a range of risks that are of concern to individuals, industry and public administration. This special issue of Policy & Internet is concerned with the policy implications of cybercrimes that result from the abuse of networked technologies. It provides a range of multidisiciplinary views that are actively being sought by policymaking communities and which impact on national and supra‐national legislation, public‐private cooperation, and international coordination against transnational crime.
