Abstract
A method is developed for obtaining numerical solutions to Fick's diffusion equation when the diffusion coefficient is of the form D=D0C n, n being an arbitrary positive parameter. The method is applicable to two different types of boundary condition corresponding to frequently encountered physical situations. Some numerical results are presented. © 1966 The American Institute of Physics.
