Abstract

The laser spectroscopic imaging techniques for the laser ablation material processing are described. First, an over view on the laser spectroscopic techniques used in the diagnostics of the laser-ablation is described. Fundamental problems which are encountered in the application of the laser spectroscopic imaging to the ablation plume diagnostics are considered. Next, as examples of the imaging diagnostics, the imagings of the pulsed-laser deposition process of high-Tc superconducting thin films and of Si nanoparticle synthesis process are described. © 1999 Trans Tech Publications,.
