Abstract
Some platinum boryl complexes of the type trans-[(Cy3P) 2Pt(Cl){B(Cl)R}] (1: R = NMe2, 2: R = Mes, 3: R = tBu) were synthesized by oxidative addition of the corresponding dichloroboranes to [Pt(PCy3)2]. All the compounds were characterized by multinuclear NMR spectroscopy in solution. Furthermore, a single crystal analysis was acquired from 2, that confirms the strong trans-influence of this boryl ligand. © 2009 Wiley-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA.
