Chemical Studies on Bryophytes. 22. Flavonoid C-Glycosides of Mnium undulatum.

Abstract

Seven flavonoid C-glycosides were isolated from M. undulatum. Besides saponarin, schaftoside, neoschaftoside, isoschaftoside, neoisoschaftoside and vicenin-2, the previously unknown chrysoeriol 6-C-arabinosyl-8-C-hexoside (I) is reported. 13C-NMR spectra of saponarin, schaftoside, isoschaftoside and vicenin-2 were measured and used for the structure detns. The structures of the other 3 compds. were detd. by UV, 1H-NMR, acid treatment and the mass spectra of the permethyl ethers.
