Abstract

This work analyses the effect of child abuse. It describes the most significant characte- ristics of the families studied in the project of protection and care of minors, from 1996 to 1999, period in which the project was developed. It is a descriptive study based on an sample of 107 families and their corresponding 256 minors. It aims to clarify some aspect related with the situations of children lacking of protection, given these significant facts based on numerous family files detected in minors in the situation of risk and defenceless- ness.
