Documental etnográfico en el ecuador del buen vivir: pasado, presente y perspectivas futuras

Abstract

The Ecuadorian documentary cinema is experiencing a peak, in terms of quantity, quality and diversity of its products; but does not seem to be being elaborated a process of critical reflection, ownership and integration of their content, social function being met and how they influence the current reality of the country, in the citizenship´s life, in the construction processes of their individual and collective identities. In this paper we are particularly interested in the imaginary that have been built around the sociocultural Ecuadorian identity from the ethnographic documentary film approach.
