Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of compensation and motivation to work on employee performance. In this research the samples used by the authors are PT. Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) drive III Palembang by spreading the questionnaire as much as 40 respondents. The techniques used in this study are the techniques of questionnaires using saturated sampling methods. The variables that are researched are the performance of the employees as variable binding and compensation as well as motivation work as free variables by using multiple linear regression to analyse. Based on the results of the study showed that there was a compensation influence on employees ' performance. This is seen from the T-Test with a variable-free compensation resulting in a significant value of 0.003 or smaller than 0.05, thus the proposed hypothesis was accepted and it could be concluded that partial compensation significantly affects the performance of employees at PT. Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Divre III Palembang. Judging from the simultaneous means of compensation also affects the performance of employees as the F test has a significant value of 0.000 and a significant rate of less than α by 0.05. Work motivation also affects employee performance. Judging from the T-Test with the motivation-free variable resulting in a significant value of 0.000 or smaller than 0.05, thus the proposed hypothesis was received and it could be concluded that a partial work motivation significantly affects the employee's performance at PT. Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Divre III Palembang.
