Abstract

Research is a type of correlational research, which aims to find out about the relationship between VO2max (X) as an independent variable with student learning outcomes of SMPN 1 Ampek Angkek Kab. Agam (Y) as the dependent variable. This research was conducted on male students of class VII SMPN 1 Ampek Angkek Kab. Agam December 2008-February 2009 totaling 100 people. The sampling technique was done by purposive random sampling and obtained a sample of 25 students (25%). VO2max data retrieval is done by "bleep test", while the learning outcomes data and the student's physical education pension value 1 Ampek Angkek Kab. Agam Data analysis and testing of research hypotheses using simple correlation analysis techniques (product moment) with a significant level = 0.05. From the analysis of the data obtained the results there is a significant relationship between VO2max with student learning outcomes SMPN 1 Ampek Angkek Kab. Religion with the acquisition of r0 (0.655)> rtab (0.404).
