Abstract

Vertical axis wind turbine is a popular research direction in recent years, and its aerodynamic performance directly affects its power generation efficiency. Using CFD method simulation, the aerodynamic characteristics of wind turbine blades can be deeply analyzed. In this paper, the numerical simulation progress of the aerodynamic performance of vertical axis wind turbines with airfoil as the main object in recent years is studied, the influence of different design parameters on the performance of wind turbines is discussed, the characteristics of current research are summarized, and the future research trends are prospected.
