Abstract
This editorial provides an introduction to the current special section on attachment theory. Over the years there have been controversies between clinicians and researchers over the best assessment methods for attachment patterns. Self-report, interview, and projective tests have all been held in high regard. The articles in this special section exemplify the value of integrating attachment dimensions from various domains.
