Abstract
This paper introduces the design and implementation of a robot that can be used to play the Dragon drum. In order to satisfy the requirements of automatic playing, music selection through gesture recognition, improvisation through gesture control and so on, ROS (Robot Operating System) is employed to achieve the integration of heterogeneous hardware. After testing, the robot runs stably, plays automatically and accurately, and responds quickly to the improvisation play.
