Abstract
Pathological changes in rats resulting from treatment with monocrotaline by skin application, by injections, and by feeding, are described, and compared with those seen in rats after treatment with other Senecio alkaloids. The potential danger involved in the use, in some countries, of Crotolaria plants as herbal remedies, whether by ingestion, or externally by skin application, is pointed out. © 1955, The British Empire Cancer Campaign for Research.
