Abstract
Sustainable procurement is a critical aspect of supply chain management that involves purchasing goods and services in a way that considers their environmental, social, and economic impacts. It extends beyond traditional procurement practices by incorporating sustainability principles into the decision-making process. The role of sustainable procurement in improving supply chain performance is significant. By sourcing from sustainable suppliers, companies can reduce their environmental footprint, enhance their social responsibility, and achieve cost savings, thus contributing to improved supply chain performance.
