Abstract

A 571.5 m lava pile and a 209 m transition zone of lavas and dykes were penetrated to test 295 m of sheeted dyke complex. The geochemical data for major and trace elements are tabulated; two magma types are implied. The data suggest a heterogeneous mantle under the Costa Rica rift.-K.A.R.
