Abstract
The gifted adult often needs help just as much as the gifted child. Investigation of a small sample of gifted aduits presented some disturbing possibilities which merit investigation. Out of 24 gifted adults, 16 had contemplated suicide and gone so far as to devise a means. Half of these 16 people had made at least one suicide attempt. This article illustrates how the problems of being a gifted child can be taken into adult life. © 1985, Roeper City and Country School.
