Abstract
The growth of yeast cultures at supra-optimal temperatures up to 39°C and exposure in non-nutrient solution up to 52°C has been examined for the induction of genetic change. Both sets of conditions lead to the induction of mutation to antibiotic resistance, mitotic gene conversion, crossing-over and mitotic chromosomal non-disjunctio. © 1975 The Genetical Society of Great Britain.
