Abstract

Flu Season and ARDS after Cardiac Surgery The acute respiratory distress syndrome was found to occur more frequently after cardiac surgery during influenza seasons than during non–influenza seasons. The authors suggest that subclinical influenza could be a risk factor for ARDS.
