Por uma antropologia do desejo e do prazer: notas para uma cartografia libidinal do social*

Abstract

Resumo O objetivo deste artigo é dialogar com a provocação feita pelo antropólogo argentino Néstor Perlongher sobre o fazer antropológico, na qual o autor se questiona: "por que será que a antropologia, tão obcecada por discursar sobre o outro, não se anima a reconhecer o desejo do outro?”. Seguindo essa inspiração, desejamos apresentar pontos de consideração teórico-metodológicos que enfatizem uma análise do social a partir dos movimentos libidinais em sua macro e micropolítica, uma proposta de cartografia que comporia uma antropologia do desejo. Entendendo que o desejo está na base da criação de toda comunidade, laço de pertencimento ou relação social, ao longo do artigo exploramos vias para a interpretação de um desejo pela hierarquia, pela aniquilação do outro ou pelo mal - enfatizando a problemática racial - via processos de subjetivação e engajamentos libidinais presentes em práticas diversas de indivíduos, grupos e formas de governos. Finalizamos o artigo ponderando ao redor de importantes influências de Perlongher naquilo que na antropologia brasileira podemos chamar de Antropologia do prazer, a partir de pesquisas que têm se dedicado justamente a duas das principais temáticas do autor: sexualidade e drogas.Abstract The objective of this article is to dialogue with the provocation made by the Argentine anthropologist Néstor Perlongher about the anthropological work, in which the author asks himself: "why is it that anthropology, so obsessed with discourse about the other, does not dare to recognize the other's desire? Following this inspiration we wish to present theoretical and methodological points of consideration that emphasize an analysis of the social from the libidinal movements in its macro and micro politics, a proposed cartography that would compose an anthropology of desire. Understanding that desire is at the base of the creation of every community, bond of belonging or social relationship, throughout the article we explore ways to interpret a desire for hierarchy, annihilation of the other or evil - emphasizing the racial problem - via processes of subjectivation and libidinal engagements present in diverse practices of individuals, groups and forms of governments. We end the article pondering around the important influences of Perlongher in what, in Brazilian anthropology, we may call the Anthropology of pleasure, based on research that has been dedicated precisely to two of the author's main themes: sexuality and drugs.
