Classroom action research is based on the low level of activity and results of mathematics learning in the classroom, so the researcher considers it necessary to conduct learning improvement research. Improvement research was carried out, especially on line and series material by implementing a gallery walk with prizes. The method used in this research is Classroom Action Research (PTK) which includes four components, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection which is carried out in two cycles. The research subjects were 35 students in class X – C at SMAN 3 Samarinda. Data collection instruments are observation sheets and test questions. Data collection techniques use observation, test and documentation techniques. Data validation uses triangulation techniques. The data analysis method in this research uses qualitative data analysis. The research results show an increase in each cycle. The activeness of the students was 13 students or 37.14%, in the first cycle there were 23 students or 65.71%, and in the second cycle there were 33 students or 94.29% in the second cycle, the student learning outcomes were average. before improvement it was only 54.57 to 65.43 and 76.86 in the second cycle, with a learning completeness level of 7 students or 20.00%, in cycle I there were 19 students or 54.29%, and in cycle II there were 31 students or 88.57%. This result is in accordance with the specified indicators, namely that the minimum number of students has completed reaching 85% of the total number of students and the minimum learning achievement is ? 70. ABSTRAKPenelitian tindakan kelas dilatar belakangi rendahnya keaktifan dan hasil pembelajaran matematika di kelas, maka peneliti menganggap perlu melakukan penelitian perbaikan pembelajaran. Penelitian perbaikan dilakukan khususnya pada materi barisan dan deret dengan penerapan gallery walk berhadiah. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) meliputi empat komponen yakni perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi yang dilaksanakan dua siklus. Subjek penelitian peserta didik kelas X – C SMAN 3 Samarinda berjumlah 35 peserta didik. Instrumen pengumpulan data yaitu, lembar observasi dan soal tes. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi, tes dan dokumentasi. Validasi data mengunakan teknik triangulasi. Metode analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan analisis data kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan pada setiap siklusnya. Keaktifan peserta didik dari 13 peserta didik atau 37,14%, siklus I ada 23 peserta didik atau 65,71%, dan pada siklus II ada 33 peserta didik atau 94,29% pada siklus kedua, hasil belajar peserta didik dari rata-rata pada sebelum perbaikan hanya 54,57 menjadi 65,43 dan 76,86 pada siklus kedua, dengan tingkat ketuntasan belajar sebanyak 7 peserta didik atau 20,00%, siklus I ada 19 peserta didik atau 54,29%, dan pada siklus II ada 31 peserta didik atau 88,57%. Hasil ini sesuai dengan indikator yang ditentukan yakni minimal peserta didik tuntas mencapai 85 % dari jumlah seluruh peserta didik dan capaian pembelajaran minimal ? 70.
