Abstract

The structure must be periodically checked and measures must be taken to prevent deterioration in construction of the building. We have determined that a comprehensive quality control is required to maintain quality in light of safety and durability. From this point of view, a nondestructive test is essential to estimate whether the construction of buildings is proper, and whether the dimension of depositing concrete is consistent and without damage. Design drawings can be made by estimation of the thickness of the framework component by a non-destructive test. In this study, we have performed a reliability evaluation of nondestructive testing on concrete structures. The test methods used were the ultrasonic pulse velocity method and the impact-echo method. The results of the experiment show that impact-echo method is an efficient diagnostic technique to estimate the thickness of the concrete component. The estimated error rate in the experiments were 5.1% in the slope structure slab from 24MPa specimens, and 2.2% from 40MPa specimens. Keywords:
