Abstract

Supporting cancer patients receiving systemic cancer therapies requires a multidisciplinary approach, and primary care plays a key role in identifying and managing the physical effects of treatment, providing psychosocial support and arranging specialist review. This article discusses the management of patients receiving systemic cancer therapies from a primary care perspective.
