Abstract
The demand for recreation, particularly in the developed countries, has been increasing rapidly since the Second World War. The increase is generally believed to be attributed to population growth, rising per capita income, increasing demand for leisure, industrialisation, urbanisation and improved mobility. Malaysia is experiencing a similar increase in the demand for recreation.
