Abstract

The problems posed by the existence of medical wastelands figure prominently on official agendas, but the measures taken seem to be having little significant effect. This is particularly the case in rural areas, medical wastelands in a context of specific issues relating to ageing and local socio-economic development. Nonetheless there remains scope for sustainable solutions. © Fond. Nationale de Gérontologie. Tous droits réservés pour tous pays.
