Abstract

Courtship behavior of Lycosa ishikariana (Saito, 1934) was observed under indoor conditions. A male followed the signal line of a female to her nest, and put his first leg into the nest. Mating was occurred out of the nest. The male climbed over the female frontal. This behavior war a performed in a typical mating position of lycosids. © 1994, Arachnological Society of Japan.
